With this cold weather outside, I just can’t get enough of spring’s vibrant bold colours. I am absolutely crazy for this neon lace-sleeve wool-blend crepe dressby Christopher Kane. It is such a great investment piece that you could wear for many different occasions.
Last week, I went to the presentation of the 15th annabelle Prix de Beauté which was held at the Dolder Grand in Zurich. The presentation could be best described as the“Swiss Beauty Oscars”. I felt very honoured because I was asked to be in the jury.
The highly coveted “Anna”trophy.
My task?Test 100 beauty products in the category facial care. No problem at all!
For my Swiss based readers: All the winners of the different categories will be published in the annabelle 04-2012 magazine which will be available starting February 22, 2012. From March 2-17, 2012 all the awarded products will be displayed at Manor in Zurich.
OMG… it feels like in the 80’s! The crazy colours are back. Resort 2012 is full of neon brights with acid rainbow prints at Christopher Kane to elegant shift dresses at Michael Kors.
From fluorescent pinks to electrifying neon-greens here are the hottest pieces to wear this season. My suggestion: Team neon pieces with neutral hues or classic shades such as camel. Another way to work the trend is to add a bold accessory or some statement neon heels.
The 69th Annual Golden Globes awards took place in Beverley Hills last night and for us it is a pleasure to see who wore which designer. Unfortunately, Madonna(in Reem Acra), Kelly Osbourne(in Zac Posen) and Sarah Michelle Gellar (in Monique Lhuillier)are NOT on my best dressed list. Please see who is below!
Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace
Elle MacPherson in a stunning gown by Zac Posen
Nicole Kidman in Versace
Zooey Deschanel in Custom Prada
Kate Beckinsale in Roberto Cavalli
Charlize Theron in Dior Couture
Natalie Portman in Lanvin
Evan Rachel Wood in a stunning Gucci Première gown.
The award for cuteness goes definitely to the dog from the “The Artist”. The movie that won BEST PICTURE. He was the top dog and certainly stole the show…
Red is a must next summer and in combination with nude and beige just irresistible. Clare Waight Keller, who has replaced Chloé’s Hannah MacGibbon, shows for her debut collection this colour combination in perfection.
If you are in the mood for shopping, have a look at this stunning outfit below, perfect for the cold temperatures now.
I personally absolutely adore the colour combination of red and nude, so French and so chic!
Today, I would like to show some nice jetset-ready gift ideas for you or your world-travelling friend. Those super cute luggage tags for example are the perfect way to ensure your bags stand out from the crowd.
Happy Halloween 2011 – it is time to be bewitched! For all fashionistas around the globe, add a little humour and carve your pumpkins with your favourite logo or dress up as your beloved designer.
In a season of dark glamour, gothic looks make an impression wether you wear them at night or during the day. Just change the accessories and off you go. My absolute favourite is this knit dress by Lanvin with puff sleeves below.
It is official, fall is here now. Nature is changing and so is our wardrobe. I love the colour combination of purple and green and hope that you will like it, too!
My look: Sleeveless dress by Missoni, sweater by Gucci, necklace by Lanvin, Kelly bag “So Black” by Hermès, tights “Matte Opaque 80″ by Wolford, ring “Diorette” by Dior Haute Joaillerie, watch by Roger Dubuis and suede shoes by Yves Saint Laurent.
Have a look at Lanvin’s F/W 2011 ad campaignphotographed by Steven Meisel which is for me one of the best ones ever. The humourous take of the must-see video (at the end of this post) is just sensational, Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmermann are dancing like there is no tomorrow. My favourite part is Alber Elbaz, Creative Director of the French house, joining in the fun in the end. Pure goofiness! And the clothes are divine…
