My Look: Boss Outletcity Metzingen

Last Thursday, I went to Metzingen in Germany, a picturesque town close to the city of Stuttgart, that is dedicated to shopping. Once you arrive, you will think, that you made it to a gigantic American shopping mall – OUTLETCITY METZINGEN, where you can find high-end designer stores, such as Gucci, Prada, Burberry and many more with discounts of up to 70% all year round. The reason for my visit was the opening of the newly built BOSS Flagship Outlet that offers the complete product range on a sales area of over 5,000 square meters and that is the largest store of the HUGO BOSS Group worldwide.

To celebrate the occasion, over 600 guests, among them brand ambassadors, German supermodel Eva Padberg and actress Bettina Zimmermann, were invited to indulge in special treats, such as being sketched by an illustrator, or getting their new sweaters or T-shirts personalized. Eva told us that her favorite fashion trend for the upcoming season is pink, no wonder she wore a pink BOSS sweater and looked stunning in it.

My look: Dark blue leather biker jacket, long belted palm-leaf printed silk dress, white booties, and Taylor crossbody bag in black, all by Hugo Boss.

All pieces that I am wearing in this post are available now at the BOSS outlet store. OUTLETCITY METZINGEN is absolutely worth the visit and something special is coming up. On October 11 and 12, 2019, the shopping destination is celebrating in a big way with the FASHION CITY EVENT, that offers special performances, great promotions, shopping on friday until midnight and the start of an own CLUB for customers.

Stay tuned, as I will tell you more about it next week.

LoL, Sandra

A Bossy Girl at the Boss Event in Zurich

cBossy Girl - Sandra Bauknecht - Boss Opening Zurich

One week ago, when I just got back from Paris Fashion Week, I attended in the evening the official re-opening of the BOSS flagship store on Zurich’s famous Bahnhofstrasse. It was a very fun event that started in the 600 m² shop with a cocktail reception. The new interior looks super cool with its black steel structures, mirrored elements and glossy surfaces – heaven for every shopaholic.

I was really a BOSS(y) girl that night wearing a BOSS head to toe look. The black dress is from the F/W 2014 collection as well as the gorgeous heels and the Romy leather bag. With Jason Wu at the helmet, BOSS can look forward to a rosy future, that is for sure.

After the cocktail reception in the boutique, the approximately 250 invited guests were transferred to the FLUX Laboratory at Schiffsbau where a stunning forest setting awaited the crowd along with delicious food, drinks and great music. A truly fun party!
Enjoy all the photos below!

Hugo Boss Celebrates 20 Years with Art

hugo Boss-red never follows

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Hugo Boss has launched an interesting art project with an exhibition at London’s Saatchi Gallery, that will run through September 2013, under the name “Red Never Follows” that showcases different art works by 20 international creatives, inspired by HUGO. To highlight the German brand’s history, the word “Follows” on the key visuals is spelled as “Fol20ws,” and Berlin based artist Steffen Seeger has painted the one line drawing, that stands for the house’s last 20 years.

Hugo Boss Store Event _ Sandra Bauknecht

Last night, he was in Zurich for an interactive art show at the store on Bahnhofstrasse. It was a pleasure to meet Steffen and I was very excited to get my own art work done by him. We partied on the shop’s terrace, while enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

My look: Two-tone stretch-jersey contour dress by Stella McCartney, coral shape heels and patchwork bag, both by Chanel, bracelet by Hermès.

In addition to the exhibition, the brand has launched a line of 20 celebratory fashion items that are  available online and in store.

Monday Fashion Shuffle

Monday Fashion Shuffle

Monday fashion shuffle: the carrousel is turning again. This morning, New York-based designer, and Michelle Obama favourite, Jason Wu has been named artistic director of HUGO BOSS womenswear. The 30-year old Taiwan born will oversee his team at the headquarters in Metzingen, Germany, and also open a design studio in New York. He will continue to grow his own namesake label that he founded in 2007. The first HUGO BOSS collection under Jason Wu’s artistic direction will debut in New York during Pre-Fall 2014 and he will stage the first runway show during the New York F/W 2015 Fashion Week in February 2014.

In the meantime, MULBERRY has announced that its creative director of six years, Emma Hill, will step down in the coming months. Rumours are that she is now in the running to succeed Reed Krakoff at Coach, when he is stepping down to focus on his eponymous label in June 2014.
Let’s see who will be replacing Hill at Mulberry… such a pity that the talented designer will be leaving the British brand.

Pink Overall with Black Accessories

Ohlala

I love overalls and this gorgeous piece from the BOSS Black Pre-fall 2012 collection is absolutely divine. The cut and the pink colour are perfect together.
Overall “Demira” is available in selected Hugo Boss stores now for CHF 429.-.

The colour combination of bright pink and black is gorgeous. (For a previous post where I am wearing those two shades, click here).
Therefore I would combine the pink overall with those accessories below:

A great outfit that works for all seasons!
