My Look: Oktoberfest – Breakfast at Tiffany’s

sandra_bauknecht_breakfast_at_tiffanys_2016_owloon

As most of you know, I love Munich very much and spent many years living there. Every corner of the city carries a memory for me. Therefore I was very excited to go back for the first Oktoberfest weekend mid-September to celebrate Breakfast at Tiffany’s. This iconic event always starts at the store on Perusastrasse followed by a visit to the Schützenzelt at the Wies’n. It is a great celebration as you see many familiar faces, all enjoying beer and of course the most amazing Bavarian treats. The only drop of bitterness was the heavy rain but at least we were protected in style with the help of turquoise Tiffany umbrellas.

My look: Dirndl «St. Moritz» in grey  and dirndl blouse, both by Owloon, purple wool jacket by Happycoat,  Monogramme Kate studded leather shoulder bag by Saint Laurentlight green pumps by Prada and T Smile 18-karat rose gold diamond bracelet by Tiffany & Co..

LoL, Sandra

The rain couldn’t stop us!

At the Tiffany & Co. Opening in Geneva

Geneva_Opening_Tiffany_Co
Two weeks ago, I went to Geneva to film a new episode of Spotlight which will air this Saturday, at 7.45pm on Tele Züri. The reason? Tiffany & Co. celebrated the opening of its newest store at 21, Rue du Rhône.

Frederic Cumenal, CEO of Tiffany & Co. and Gitta Gräfin Lambsdorff, Managing Director Tiffany & Co., Germany/Austria/Switzerland, hosted the evening. The approximately 500 guests
were welcomed to a cocktail reception at the store where they were able to explore the magnificent new interiors across the store’s two floors and discover dazzling jewellery and the limited edition watches that the American jeweller has specially created to commemorate its return to Geneva.

Tiffany’s brilliant new store reflects the company’s global reputation as a luxury brand and a 178-year history that includes Geneva, where Tiffany first opened a branch in 1868.

TIFFANY DIAMOND
This legendary beauty was acquired by Charles Lewis Tiffany in 1878. To this day, the spectacular 128.54-carat fancy yellow diamond remains one of the most important gemstones on earth. It was a great honor to see this precious piece in real life in Geneva as it rarely travels, remaining at home on the main floor of the Tiffany flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City.

Star guest Paloma Picasso gave me a great interview that will air in the next Spotlight episode. To explore her newest collection for Tiffany, please click here.

Following the cocktail reception in the new store, we were then ushered to a glamourous marquee with a stunning Tiffany Blue Box entrance. With magnificent views to the Lake Geneva and the Jet d’Eau, we enjoyed a fantastic party with live performances by renowned saxophonist Chez Taylor-Francis, DJMike and DJ Viky Queen.

Tiffany T Collection Launch Party in Zurich

TIFFANY T Einladung, Zürich

Last Thursday, Tiffany & Co. celebrated the launch of the brand’s newest collection TIFFANY T in Zurich at the Museum Bellerive. It marks design director Francesca Amfitheatrof’s first line for the iconic house. “The letter T is sculptural and bold and very closely linked to the architecture of New York City,” she explains. The trained jeweler and silversmith reimagined the letter T as a piece of engineering, which you can see in the mechanisms for these cuffs.

The Museum Bellerive was bathed in pink light. Guests enjoyed yummy food and champagne while exploring the new jewelry pieces.

The collection is in stores now and available in different shapes in silver or gold. Personally speaking, I truly love the design, especially many bracelets worn together look really cool.

O’zapft is! – Your 2013 Wiesn Style Guide

Sandra Bauknecht Oktoberfest 2013

Yesterday, Saturday, 12 o’clock in the “Schottenhamel” beer tent: By tapping the first barrel of beer and saying into the microphone “O’zapft is!” (which means: “It is tapped!”), Munich’s mayor, Christian Ude started the 180th Oktoberfest. My avid readers know, I love the Bavarian city and its “Wiesn” – this is how the locals are calling their annual party, after the colloquial name of the fairgrounds (Theresienwiese) themselves.

The fashionable crowd started a little earlier in the morning and followed the invitation of Gitta Gräfin Lambsdorff and Alexandra Freifrau von Wangenheim to the famous legendary Breakfast at Tiffany’s, from which guests were transported around 11.30am to the Oktoberfest directly. This is the place to be!

And here is your stylish WIESN GUIDE – enjoy!
