Fruity Friday

Fruity Friday

During Milan and Paris menswear S/S 2012 fashion weeks, the streets have been filled with people wearing all sorts of fruits. Prada’s bananas (especially loved by the stronger sex, Tim Blanks rocked the print) plus Stella’s lemons and oranges were  seen everywhere. Remember, I have warned you before that this might happen. Please click here for the previous post in February.

And with the EHEC virus going around, wearing vitamins seems a lot more healthier than consuming them.

I love my fruits. Recently at the Lovers Lane party with Bex Rox, I wore my Stella McCartney citrusy print dress with my Prada bananas earrings. Python Palais shoes by YSL, necklace Bex Rox.

S/S 2011: Tutti Frutti

S2012 Tutti Frutti

Earlier this week I promised you, that I will keep you posted about a S/S 2011 trend that I spotted front row at London Fashion Week. Think Tutti Frutti and you got it.

"Bananas

Charlotte Olympia, "Bananas is My Business" Shoe in Python

Shoe designer Charlotte Olympia often cites the energy and vitality of Brazil, the home country of her mother, ex-model Andrea Dellal. This summer, she included lots of fruit references into her collection.

The „Bananas is My Buisness“ fruit shoe in python is divine and the gorgeous banana-shaped „Baker“ bag was worn by her mother to the Emilio de la Morena F/W 2011 show together with the banana-print skirt by Prada (see photos below).
I loved how she made the look her own and didn’t push the healthy vibe too much. The black sandals, also from her daughter’s collection, were the perfect addition to her outfit. Don’t go head to toe fruity, you do not want to look like the produce department in the supermarket.

S 2012 Tutti Frutti 2

Stella McCartney went for vitamin C. Her collection was all about lemons and oranges.

Colourful and vibrant prints are must-haves this summer. With the vintage appeal of fruit patterns, the retro-inspired trend is very appealing and seems so healthy.

Below you see me in my Stella McCartney citrus print slash-detailed silk dress that I combined with platform sandals by Prada and my lovely Louis Vuitton floppy straw hat.

I hope that I whet your appetite to get your own fruit cocktail! Cheers!

LoL, Sandra

What a bummer that I cannot wear my new gingham bikini in St. Moritz!

To a beautiful spring!

LoL, Sandra

Flaunt the season’s sexy 60s-look and embody the style of legendary Parisian chic in those stunning Louis Vuitton outfits. Preppy, classy and full of elegance, my favourites!

Imagine a bouquet of fresh cut flowers transforming into an appliqué dress. A feminine fusion of romance and seduction, foreunner of this trend: Stella McCartney.

Scallop details are this spring a glamour girl’s must-have. Take off in prim ensembles and jet-set-ready accessories and the French Riviera will be all yours.

Sip cocktails at a garden party in the most beautiful floral prints. Flower-bedecked accessories complement your sweet style perfectly.

Channel a sexy innocence in Chanel’s gingham prints, fit for a dip – or just sitting pretty, this is a must for every fashionista.

Pack for your trip to the Côte d’ Azur with nautical stripes and take a stroll along the beach in those classics. Cannes do!

Pinpoint spring chic with colorful polka dots and sweetly spotted seperates. Miu Miu shows you how to wear this look.

Start a delicious romance with lemons, cherries and apples. This season’s take on fruity prints, just gets started. Tutti Frutti is this summer’s leitmotif, yummy!

Challenge your luck and embrace spring in those Irish-inspiried beauties. It is time to live like a bee in clover.
