Byredo and Susanne Kaufmann

Pioneer of the natural skincare space Susanne Kaufmann and luxury beauty brand Byredo have partnered to launch a limited-edition series of products that celebrate the sensorial connection between skincare and fragrance. What started as a friendship and meeting of two friends developed into a creative collaboration that celebrates the worlds of both brands, their passion for beauty and commitment to local production and craftsmanship.

Combining Susanne’s expertise in skincare with Ben Gorham’s knowledge of fragrance, the collection includes a deeply moisturising scented body oil and roll-on fragrance oil, inspired by the Bregenzerwald, a forest region in the heart of the Austrian Alps and home of the Susanne Kaufmann brand. Drawing on these surroundings, the fragranced oils celebrate the idyllic landscape, amplified by the green freshness of the pine trees that blanket the mountainous area. Antioxidant rich, locally sourced plant oils deliver lasting moisturising benefits, while notes of jasmine and hints of sweet fig create an invigorating yet soothing aroma, reminiscent of a walk in the forest.

BREGENZERWALD BODY OIL
Inspired by the fresh, energising air of the forest and developed with apricot kernel and meadowfoam seed oil, achieve silky smooth skin by applying the oil all over the body to damp skin after showering or bathing and massage in.

BREGENZERWALD FRAGRANCE OIL
Transport yourself to the forests of Bregenzerwald in the heart of the Austrian Alps with this on-the-go fragrance oil. Apply to the pulse points and desired areas of the body and sense the wild yet calming openness of Alpine nature.

The Bregenzerwald Fragrance Oil retails for €110 EURO/$125 USD/$130 CAD/£90 GBP and the Bregenzerwald Body Oil retails for €90 EURO/$100 USD/$155 CAD/£75 GBP. Both are available at Byredo stores, Byredo.com, Susannekaufmann.com and select retail partners from 14 September 2023.

My Favourite Niche Fragrances

IMG_2114

I have to admit that I am a total fragrance addict. Scent is such an important part of your identity. It communicates more than your clothes because one can smell you without having eye contact or talking to you.

We all know the big perfume blockbuster brands, but there are plenty of niche fragrance houses which deserve attention as they use very luxurious ingredients. And after all, who likes to smell the same as everybody else? Today, I would like to show you my eight favorite perfumes that you could call my personal signature scents, like my wardrobe of fragrances.

My Look: One Sunny Day in Stockholm

Sandra Bauknecht in Stockholm

Last Saturday, I spent a beautiful day in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The sun was shining and I enjoyed exploring the city very much. Below you can enjoy some of my impressions.

My look: Bouclé tweed jacket and matching Lily bouclé tweed shoulder bag, both by Mulberrystretch-leather skinny pants by Gucci, suede boots by Balmain, Sandra two-tone stretch-cady top and printed scarf, both by Stella McCartney and Portrait sunglasses by Prada.

I stayed at the NOBIS HOTEL, a luxury design hotel, located in two historic late 19th-century buildings on Norrmalmstorg square in the city centre of Stockholm. I have liked its contemporary design very much. Here you see me sitting in the so-called lounge, a quite spectacular room with a ceiling height of 28 meters.

Nobis_House-Cocktail

When staying at Nobis Hotel, you have to try their house cocktail, so delicious.

Byredo_Blanche

In the bathroom of my hotel room, I was overly happy to find the complete body range of one of my favourite scents: BLANCHE by Byredo.

Stockholm_Opera

As I was at the very center of what’s going on in Stockholm in every sense, I had everything I wanted to explore within walking distance. Above you see the Royal Opera House.

Menu_T-Bar_Diplomat

Lunch at T-Bar that belongs to the Diplomat Hotel, an iconic Art Nouveau palace by the shore of Strandvägen, another great place to stay at.

Lunch_T_bar

My favourite Swedish dish: Löjrom (Bleak Roe or Kalix Caviar), such a delicacy.

NK_Stockholm

A little shopping tour around the famous department store NK.

I had such a wonderful time in Stockholm and will surely be back. Stay tuned for one more sightseeing post coming up soon.
