My Look: Fall Oversized Sweater

Sandra_bauknecht_Fall_sweater_Kane_Christoph

Oversized sweaters worn as dresses add a certain coolness to your look. I couldn’t resist Christopher Kane’s “Lovers’ lace” – entwining bodies in coral and cream lace, that are inspired by life drawing lessons. Worn on the F/W 2015 runway, this oversized style is woven from a luxurious blend of wool and cashmere guaranteed to keep me warm when the weather cools here in Zurich.

My Beauty Musts for Fall 2014

My Beauty Musts for Fall 2014

Personally speaking, there is nothing else that makes me feel more sexy than a great make-up look, a sensual scent and some fabulous high heels like those Paris fringed suede ankle boots iconby Saint Laurent. Each season there is a new color trend. For more than 20 years, Pantone, the global authority on color, has surveyed the designers of New York Fashion Week and beyond to bring us the season’s most important shades. Here are the most prominent hues for fall 2014.

Must-Have Colours F:W 2014

Beautiful colors that could be seen in Burberry Prorsum‘s fabulous blanket capes (also pictured above with the beauty products).

My Look: Summer Rain

Summer Rain-Sandra Bauknecht

Gosh, this Zurich weather is driving me up the wall. I just got back with a nice tan from Ibiza but cannot show it as it is cold and rainy outside. What a pity!

A few days ago, I wrote a post about those lovely Burberry Prorsum capes and I tell you that this has been one of the best investments recently. You can easily throw it over your shoulder and it gives you just the perfect touch of warmth in the month of August. Later in the season you can add it as another layer to your winter coat. Get one now, you won’t regret it!

The Burberry Prorsum Blanket Poncho

Burberry Prorsum Blanket Poncho

Burberry Prorsum were key in setting the blanket poncho trend for F/W 2014 and have left us spoilt for choice. I think these are a great alternative to a full-on coat. Wear yours thrown over the shoulder, as a coat or belted at the waist. These super-luxurious pieces are effortlessly chic and just perfect for when you need an impromptu cover-up should the weather suddenly become chilly in the evenings. The body-wrap rugs are designed with modern art references and are crafted in Scotland from lambswool and cashmere.

Cara Delevingne wore this checked wool and cashmere-blend cape as the closing look of Burberry Prorsum’s F/W 2014 runway – it cemented the global-luxe mood of the show. (The personalized version that has been spotted on many celebrities was only available right after the show until the beginning of March 2014 from the Burberry website.)

Don’t miss one of the hottest must-haves of the season!

Polka Dot It

Polka Dot It Trend SS2014 Cover

Feminine, sophisticated and reminiscent of 1950s elegance, for the new season polka dots returned to the S/S 2014 runway. At Burberry Prorsum they came in a modernized and bold way, while at Dolce & Gabbana and Moschino they appeared smaller in black and white or red – all aptly retro-inspired, especially given Moschino’s special anniversary show.
