Alberta Ferretti x Wolford

Alberta Ferretti and Wolford collaborate on the creation of a collection that tells a story of strength, femininity and sensuality through the eye of tradition, craftsmanship and the excellence of Made in Italy. The collaboration consists of ten styles available in the neutral colours of white, black, and powder pink, which translate into a cleanliness capable of revealing the precision of the graphics and the workmanship. The collection is available now here.

It’s My Year

To celebrate the Chinese New Year in 2020, which falls on January 25th, Alberta Ferretti presents «It’s My Year», a small capsule collection dedicated to the Year of the Rat. The icon of this collection is the famous, fun mouse character, Topo Gigio®, that was created in the late 1950s in Italy by Maria Perego and that became a worldwide phenomenon, with the help of «The Ed Sullivan Show

Waist It!

When it comes to your waist, the golden rule is to keep it cinched. Belts have been making their presence felt on F/W 2018 runways — from Versace, to Elie Saab and Gucci. This little add-on packs a big punch when it comes to elevating your style while also slimming your silhouette into a flattering hourglass. When it comes to evening wear, the easiest way to change the look of a gown you sported before is to wear a belt. It is also the best alternative to altering.

Suffice it to say, the styling possibilities are infinite, as is the internet’s statement belt selection. Here, I’ve narrowed it down for you.

Alberta Ferretti’s Rainbow Week

Launched for the first time as a limited-edition capsule collection directly after the Pre-fall 2017 runway as a see-now-buy-now movement, Alberta Ferretti‘s so-called «Rainbow Week» consists of seven wool and cashmere sweaters in mood-boosting hues, each dedicated to a day of the week. Some come in cropped versions, others such as «Friday» in a more comfy oversized look.

I am sure that you do remember this «days of the week underwear» that probably many of you wore as a child. I actually loved those and here is the adult version. Now, the Italian designer takes its successful idea to new heights with a re-issue of the «Rainbow Week» in different vibrant or pastel colors as well as striped pieces that say «Today», «Tomorrow» and «Yesterday». Moreover there are now bathing suits, T-shirts, cropped tops, hats and fake fur jackets available in matching shades.

You can mix and match the colors and style the must-have pieces with your favorite pair of jeans for the perfect off-duty look or dress them up with a sexy lace skirt as Alberta Ferretti has shown it on the runway. I love all combinations!

My Look: Business Meeting

«Your first impression is always a lasting impression

As you already know, I tend to keep all my clothes and never clean out my closet. I love to wear most of them after many years again, combine them with something new and feel the excitement of the first time. What I absolutely recommend is to invest your money in a great suit! That is something that lasts longer and will be timeless. Can you imagine that I bought this beautiful pantsuit by Alberta Ferretti in 2002?! An absolute keeper… and a great ensemble for a business meeting at the lake last week… when the weather was much nicer than today.

My look: Pantsuit by Alberta Ferretti, printed silk crepe de chine shirt and Monogramme lipstick printed textured-leather clutch, tulle mini petticoat skirtJanis pumps with studsicon, all by Saint LaurentTonda 1950 Set Clarity watch by Parmigiani Fleurier and Linda sunglasses by Tom Ford.
