Blake Lively for Gucci Première Ad Campaign

gucci premiere

Last month, we got to know that the uber-gorgeous Blake Lively is the face for Gucci’s new scent GUCCI PREMIÈRE (for the previous post, please click here).

Highly anticipated, the secret has been lifted on her facebook fan page – here is the glamorous and fabulous ad campaign shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. I know, the photographer duo seems to have closed the deal on every campaign this season.

Hypnôse Star Is Boop-Oop-a-Doop

Betty Boop3

First of all, there is no doubt that Lancôme produces the best mascaras in the entire world and the newest creation HYPNÔSE STAR is just a testament to my statement.

For their advertising campaign, inspired by the movies of the 30s, the famous French luxury cosmetics house is calling upon Betty Boop, the sexy cartoon character, and Daria Werbowy. “Betty Boop’s mischievous eyes and innate sensuality are combined with the contemporary spirit and confident femininity of Daria Werbowy,” Lancôme says. “Yesterday’s vintage glamour meets the glamour of today.”

Betty Boo

Wrapped in a sparkling case, Hypnôse Star combines a specially designed brush, which has three patents pending, and a “Black Diamond” effect fluid formula to sculpt lashes. Two flat sides deliver mascara to the lashes, including the shortest ones, while two oblique sides with longer fibers separate and lengthen lashes while fixing them in a curl.

Utilizing two types of wax, Hypnôse Star offers two formulas for light texture and robust volume. Different soft waxes provide a mistake proof application while hard carnauba wax forms a thin film over the entire lash surface and sets the curl.

Available now for CHF 44.-.

Daria

Werbowy wears “Noir Midnight” Hypnôse Star mascara, Ombre Hypnôse eyeshadows “Erika F” I202 and “Strass Black” S310 and “Beige Diaphane” 03 Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation. Lips are enhanced with “Sequins d’Amour” 170N Rouge In Love lipstick.

Ombre HypnoseNew OMBRE HYPNÔSE eyeshadows are available for CHF 39 each in 24 amazing shades.

Have a look at this super-cute video in which we will learn from Mrs Boop that “all stars have a secret,” before Daria chimes in with Betty’s signature boop-oop-a-doop!

Les Scintillances de Chanel for Holiday 2011

MA2011_04_0001

A symphony of red, gold and light. Majestic and refined, gold adds a sumptuous touch to delightful festivities. On the face, it becomes one with the skin, reflecting the light in an exceptional way. LES SCINTILLANCES DE CHANEL is composed of eyeshadows and sparkling powders. Ivory, black, golden beige and red: Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, uses the iconic colours of the House of CHANEL for a makeover scintillating with gold and light.

MA2011_04_0006

Mixing fine jewellery and costume jewellery are an integral part of the style of Gabrielle Chanel. She loved their sumptuous radiance or the touch of lightness that they added to an evening gown or simple knit. For his Exclusive Creation, Peter Philips drew inspiration from a belt buckle worn by Mademoiselle in a photo taken in the 1930s:

LUMIÈRE SCULPTÉE DE CHANEL – Highlighting Powder, CHF 84.-

A simple brushstroke adorns the face with an iridescent halo of beige sprinkled with gold. The sheer powder catches the light on cheekbones and sweeps lightly over the forehead or chin to accentuate the structure of the face.

Prada Resort 2011

Today, we move a little further ahead to Resort 2011 season that will hit the stores in the end of the year. I am completely taken by the beautiful presentation of the Prada collection and wanted to share those amazing photos with you.

The common theme of the collection was a combination of preppy gypsy and the groomed eras of the `30s and `40s.

You can choose from the polished lady in a floral printed tea dress to the tomboy in baggy denim pants to the military styled adventuress.

The breadth of Miuccia Prada`s designs was unbelievable, such an outstanding abundance of options has rarely been seen at the Italian fashion house.

Especially the accessories showed a large versatility, the oversized hoop earrings in bright colours along with the ballerina ribbons are among my favourites.

Add a little perversion with a fox stole thrown over a bathing suit and off you go.

By the way, the new shape of bags that was introduced on the F/W 2010 runways is going to stay for Resort 2011 (see photo to the right). So a really good investment!
