For Your Mother’s Eyes Only

When you look in your mother’s eyes, you know that is the purest love you can find on this earth. Your mum is your first friend, your best friend, your forever friend. Sunday is Mother’s Day, time to appreciate the most amazing woman I’ll always admire, appreciate and love.

Personally speaking, I have a very deep bond with my mum. Her eyes looked after me all my life and this inspired me to today’s gifting idea. Why not surprise your mum with a great eye care product or / and a pair of sunglasses, telling her how thankful you are to have her in your life.

It was love at first sight because we have all been loving our mums the second we opened our eyes for the first time. Even if you cannot be with your mum physically like me due to the current worldwide crisis, you can still surprise her with a gift sent to her directly. Just click on the highlighted product description to be transferred to the respective shop.

The Eye Concentrateicon by La Mer
My avid readers know that I am a huge a fan of this newly formulated product. With triple the Concentrated Miracle Broth™, it helps transform the delicate eye area with essential energy and healing hydration to reduce the look of dark circles, lines and wrinkles in 3 weeks. Lime tea concentrate, the antioxidant powerhouse, helps prevent future damage before it begins.
Theprocedure is top secret, rumors are they play classical music to the kelp-based elixir for three months as it ferments. No matter how they do it, the formula’s anti-aging effects are truly undeniable.

Cat-eye neon-trimmed printed tortoisehell acetate sunglasses by Fendi
For the mum, who loves everything fashion like me, those sunglasses feature both, the monogram and neon trend in one.

Eye Rescue Stick by Susanne Kaufmann
The perfect new tool for the spa-loving mum as she can apply the stick whenever she wants during the day. Stored in the fridge, it can deliver an even more intense cooling effect. The product counteracts the appearance of puffiness and dark circles, energizing tired-looking eyes caused by blue light and smoothes various visible signs of aging like first wrinkles.

Green coffee extract reduces swelling around the eyes, while jasmine and hawthorn activate the enzyme telomerase in the skin cells and unleash antioxidative properties. A highly concentrated active ingredient from baobab helps to smooth out crow’s feet and fine lines. Ectoin increases cell protection and an antioxidant from larch bark leaves the eyes with a fresh glow.

Eye Cream Line A by Susanne Kaufmann
Powered by a combination of active botanical ingredients like white lupine and elderberry extract, this brightening treatment stimulates collagen production to improve firmness while simultaneously reducing any puffy areas.

Eye Creamicon by Dr. Barbara Sturm
If your mum is into a thorough medical understanding of cells and anti-aging, she will love Dr. Barbara Sturm’s beauty products. Designed to target dark circles, this ultra hydrating eye cream has been specially developed in her German lab with purslane and golden root to lift the sensitive areas around the eyes and reduce puffiness. It’s also infused with active omega lipids that help skin retain moisture. Personally speaking, I love its pudding-like consistency.

Miu Miu Eyewear: Head in the Clouds

Miuccia Prada, a true trendsetter, always goes interesting ways to introduce new product launches. For her  new beautiful MIU MIU Eyewear, she  presents «Head In The Clouds», a film that revolves around the female gaze, daydreaming and the Miu Miu Cloudthe latest addition to the brand’s iconic eyewear collection.

Set in the sun-dappled gardens of a country house outside of Paris, «Head In The Clouds» tells the story of a chance encounter between two girls. As Constance loses her glasses during an argument with her boyfriend, Laura stumbles upon these, discovering a new captivating interest – seeing the world through Constance’s eyes. The glasses in question make everything look rose-tinted, opening a portal to mystery, fantasy and the possibility of seeing a beautiful and elusive new friend again. The film celebrates the Miu Miu Cloud, this season’s playfully idiosyncratic cloud-shaped rimless sunglasses with lenses in multiple colors.

«Head In The Clouds» is written and directed by Agostina Gálvez and stars Marylin Lima and Calu Rivero. It is inspired by the director’s love of vintage film posters. Viewers will be able to see two or three moving images simultaneously combined in a manner that is at once poetic, cinematic and graphic. To watch the movie, click here please.

CHANEL Spring 2019 Sunglasses

Fashionistas, attention please! CHANEL’s new Spring 2019 sunglasses will hit the stores this month and some of them will surely fly off the shelves. So better reserve your favorites now.

But what makes them stand out? It is the chain, an iconic signature at CHANEL. As an underlying theme of the season, it punctuates the frames for a multitude of possible styles and ways of being worn. A jewellery chain, ultra-feminine, an implicit fashion statement and a resolutely CHANEL allure… and moreover very practical!

Available in three solar frames (the same goes for the optical versions) – round, square and pantos (a combination of round and oval) – they are adorned with a metal link chain reminiscent of those that the seamstresses slip into the linings of jackets to ensure an impeccable drop. I have always loved this detail at CHANEL.

On certain versions, which will be the bestsellers, they come as a trio of chains: metal links, woven with leather and beaded. They reinterpret the idea of both an item of jewellery and an accessory, focusing on versatility to accentuate their fashionable design. Attached to the temples with a discreet link, they become a necklace when the glasses are not being worn on the face.

Then there are the Cruise 2019 show pieces. Sporting maritime influence, I love to get such a bold pair of sunglasses: as round as boat portholes, they play with pop block colour. Their intensely blue lenses really show the world… in blue.

Karl and Suzy have already been wearing them… and probably you soon, too.

Prada Cinéma Evolution

«THINGS ARE BECOMING LESS BLACK AND WHITE AND MORE EVOLUTION!»

Prada Cinéma Evolution, the new Prada Eyewear digital project, is an ironic foray into the myriad facets of the female identity.

Inspired by the dreamlike power of film, Prada Cinéma Evolution lets dreamsflow with a surprising and amusing projection of personal memories. A TV commercial, an unexpected sound, a reflection in a mirror and a birthday cake are moments that emerge and entwine in a very personal film about a young woman on a sunny summer day.

The sunglasses and eyewear of the new Prada Cinéma collection are the stars of the story, a narrative device triggering a playful dichotomy between perspective and perception, subject and object and leaving the viewer to ponder the question: “Are you the observer or the observed?”

The new eyewear collection takes center stage with an unusual combination of contemporary aesthetics and sophisticated femininity. The sunglasses and eyewear have oversized frame fronts emphasized by a shining metal element, while the temples preserve the flat design of the iconic collection.

The digital project is live on www.prada.com and on official Prada social channels.

Expensive Taste: Linda Farrow Sunglasses

Today I would like to invite you to discover the world’s most exclusive eyewear. Established in 1970, the Linda Farrow brand rose quickly to acclaim. Originally a fashion designer herself, Linda Farrow was one of the first to treat sunglasses as fashion, her finger always on the pulse of the times. A tireless experimenter, Farrow pioneered many of the shapes and styles that remain au courant today. Her pioneering use of shape helped move eyewear into high-fashion territory, with avant-garde styles favoured by stars like Yoko Ono and working with brands such as Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Sonia Rykiel.

Creative direction: Tracy Sedino and Simon Jablon.

After a twenty year hiatus, the brand was revived in 2003 by Farrow’s son Simon Jablon and his wife Tracy Sedino, following the discovery of a vast archive of vintage sunglasses in the family’s London warehouse. Today, the brand is renowned for collaborating with some of the world’s most acclaimed designers and continues to be the luxury leader in eyewear design. Timeless in design and uncompromising in quality!

A great selection is available at EDEN BEING – click here to visit the online shop.

The packaging itself is sensational.

I went for this beautiful classic aviator style. A modern design, crafted in a warm and luxurious rose gold-plated titanium with monochromatic lenses, I love to wear them for a glamorous escapade.

Enjoying a healthy breakfast this morning on my balcony at the beautiful Villa Stéphanie with my new sunnies by Linda Farrow.

Right now I am at the Villa Stéphanie in Baden-Baden, Germany that is also part of the Oetker Collection for a week of detox that I will tell you more about soon in detail. At the moment, I am super busy with my program that includes different treatments, healthy eating and lots of sport. For instant updates follow me on Instagram @sandrascloset.

The New Prada Cinéma Eyewear Collection

The new Prada Cinéma S/S 2017 eyewear collection stands out with its stylistic blend of sophisticated elegance and contemporary details.
The new sunglasses draw inspiration from the 1960s, reinterpreting the classic rounded shape with a modern twist. The oversized acetate front features thick lines enhanced by the shiny metal upper front profile. They are sophisticated while being extremely wearable.

The iconic flat metal temples – a key theme of the Prada Cinéma collection – are creatively matched with the acetate tips.

The palette includes a wide range of colour combinations, from classic Black and different shades of TortoiseClassic, Medium, Orchid, Talc – to the new fresh upcoming delicate nuances of Crystal Nude, Crystal Aqua and Crystal Blue.

The collection is available at prada.com, Prada stores and selected retailers worldwide.

The launch is accompanied by a digital film starring model Giedre Dukauskaite – a playful homage to the cinematic escape in which the transformational fantasies of film take center stage. A deceptively simple story of a day at the movies, but what apparently seems an ordinary escape gives way to an unexpected plot.
