My Look: Omg!

OMG! Lilac – the shade, that interestingly enough, made a resurgence in winter, has been seen everywhere this season. If you don’t want to go for the head-to-toe look, combine the pastel hue with khaki for the ultimate sophistication. Put on a turban and you are ready to turn heads…

My look: Sequin-embellished mohair-blend cardiganicon by Alessandra Rich, leopard-print stretch-cady turbanicon by Dolce & Gabbana, leather tapered pantsicon, and Venus satin pumps, bothicon by The Attico, Multi Pochette Accessories in monogram canvas by Louis Vuitton, sunglasses by Fendi, Love bracelets, and Tortue 18-karat rose gold, alligator and diamond watch, both by Cartier, Diorette ring and earrings, both by Dior Haute Joaillerie.

My Look: Yes Girl Yes!

Yes Girl Yes! Turquoise, light blue and red make a great colour combination. It’s almost spring and those vibrant shades announce the arrival of my favorite season. Some colours and a positive attitude will help us go through these troubled times. The coronavirus has resulted in countless changes to daily life – bars, restaurants are empty and the calls for «social distancing» to slow the spread of the virus is pretty tough on everyone. Therefore I am convinced that it is even more important to find joy in the little things and this can be a great outfit in eclectic hues. Online shopping is a safe way to get your new season pieces …

My Look: Red & Turquoise for Spring

Red and turquoise create one of those unexpected color combinations that will turn heads. The reason? Red looks more brilliant next to turquoise than it does when paired with most other colors. Here you see me wearing this fabulous duo at a beach club in Saint-Tropez on a cloudy day.

My Look: Burgundy & Blue

The last three days I spent in Milan on a business trip and this is one of the outfits I wore (the photos were taken before at Lake Zurich). I just adore the color combination of burgundy and blue. It looks chic and sophisticated. The baker boy cap adds a fun twist to the look.

My look: Velvet blazericon, matching velvet flared pantsiconruffled-collar silk-crepe blouse, Falabella mini faux-suede cross-body bagicon, and Elyse Star platform sneakers, all by Stella McCartney, Evie cotton-canvas cap by Isabel Marant and Horsebit blue topaz diamond white gold ringicon by Gucci Fine Jewellery.

Star Style: Jella Haase Sports Velvet

On Tuesday at the premiere of «Fack Ju Goethe 3» in Zurich, German actress Jella Haase caught my eye in this stunning outfit. First of all, I love velvet in burgundy but paired with a touch of it looks so chic and modern. Two thumbs up for her stylist!

Get her look: Long-sleeved velvet dress by Saint Laurent, Besa leather shoulder bag by Roksanda and Gianvito 105 velvet pumps by Gianvito Rossi.

My Look: Show Some Shoulder

Exposed shoulders have become the latest and personally speaking the chicest way to show some skin. Even a modest cold-shoulder aesthetic makes the difference. And unlike legs, this body part always looks good, which means, great news, you can skip a cardio class or two. But if the skirt is short, better not… just saying. I also like the color combination of sky-blue, peach and beige and hope you do, too!

My look: Sky-blue Sandringham cotton-gabardine trench coat and Bloomsbury bag in hand-painted leathericon, both by Burberry, Estelle cutout bandage mini dress by Hervé Légerleather platform pumps by Gucci, cocktail ring by Roberto Cavalli and earrings by Chanel.

Happy Swiss National Day to all my Swiss readers! Let’s smile and have fun today!

My Look: Dinner with Harvey

sandra_bauknecht_dinner_with_harvey_herve_leger_extremely_piaget_opening_night_zff

Last Thursday, the opening night of the 12th Zurich Film Festival took place with the screening of the drama «Lion» that stars Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman and David Wenham. It is a very sad movie based on the true story of a five-year-old boy who gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometers from home. He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia; 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

Festival directors and founders of the ZFF Nadja Schildknecht and Karl Spoerri with Iain Canning, Garth Davis and Harvey Weinstein on the green carpet before the screening.

For the opening night, film mogul Harvey Weinstein, director Garth Davis and producer Iain Canning had flown in. All three joined ASMALLWORLD at the dazzling opening night for an exclusive dinner at Conti restaurant, followed by an after-party to dance the night away.

My Look: The New Cool

Sandra_Bauknecht_Get_the_look_the_New_cool_Akris

«It’s all about the jacket! The jacket is a parka, a caban and a hoodie, always a blazer, it’s a suit, it could be a vest, a débardeur, a qipao and a redingote, a dress and even a gown.» – Albert Kriemler

AKRIS has come up with a new cool when it comes to dressing. For the last winter collection, creative director Albert Kriemler has quite obviously fallen in love with the jacket. I adore the versatility of his creations. The cropped fur part for example can be removed and the leather vest be worn solo. How cool is that?!

Besides, I am a big fan of the color combination of light grey and olive. Those two hues are a great match, unexpected and interesting together.

Pantone Color of the Year 2016

Pantone_Color_of_the_Year_2016

Get the look: Ruffled off-the-shoulder dress by Alexander McQueenColorado suede sandals by Aquazzura and Rockstud leather pouchicon by Valentino.

A softer take on color for 2016: For the first time, the blending of two shades – Rose Quartz and Serenity are chosen as the PANTONE Color of the Year.
As consumers seek mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, welcoming colors that psychologically fulfill our yearning for reassurance and security are becoming more prominent. Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.

The prevalent combination of Rose Quartz and Serenity also challenges traditional perceptions of color association. In many parts of the world we are experiencing a gender blur as it relates to fashion, which has in turn impacted color trends throughout all other areas of design. This more unilateral approach to color is coinciding with societal movements toward gender equality and fluidity, the consumer’s increased comfort with using color as a form of expression, a generation that has less concern about being typecast or judged and an open exchange of digital information that has opened our eyes to different approaches to color usage.

My Look: You Have My Whole Heart

Sandra Bauknecht in Azzedine Alaia

For a true fashion lover, Azzedine Alaïa is a must in a closet. An Alaïa dress is a seasonless wardrobe wonder piece that never lets you down. I bought my first item by the Tunisian-born designer probably 20 years ago and it still looks up to date. His designs play with discreet luxury, they are comfortable and ultra feminine. For the Bally x L’Officiel event I wore this look and played with the color combination of dark blue and black which I adore, it is so chic.

My look: Blue heart motif stretch-knit dress, black cropped fine-knit cardigan and corset belt, all by Azzedine AlaïaDirty ’50s stretch-denim jacket iconby Saint Laurent, dark blue suede strappy sandals by Miu Miu, Kelly So Black bag by Hermès, Limelight Gala watch and rose diamond necklace by Piaget, diamond ring and bracelet by Vainard Fine Jewellery.
